Our client a well known and established Healthcare company is hiring an Activities Coordinator to be based in South Dublin

We are seeking applications for the position of Activities Coordinator for a full time position. This is an opportunity for a professional Activities Coordinator to be an active part of a committed multidisciplinary team and to make a difference in the area of Mental Health Nursing.

We are seeking applications for the position of Activities Coordinator for a full time permanent role. HSE rates of pay

The successful candidate will have completed a QQI Level 5 (8 modules) in Healthcare and will have a minimum of 6 months experience as a Healthcare Assistant. Previous experience in a psychiatric environment is an advantage.

Mandatory Healthcare modules required are: Communications, Work Experience, Care Skills, Care Support, Safety & Health at Work.

Elective modules are: Recovery Mental Health, Social Studies, Care of the Elderly, Nutrition, Activities of Living Patient Care , Infection Prevention & Control , Human, Growth and Development.

Activities Coordinator

Duties include:

*Assisting residents with activities such as baking, crafts, exercises
*Escorting residents on outings
*Managing a program of diverse activities and ensuring the schedule is communicated
to residents
*Decorating and planning for special events such as birthdays, Christmas
*Maintaining files for each resident outlining activities they have participated in
*Communicating with the nursing staff re welfare of the residents
*Photographing events and activities and managing resident's consent forms
*Other ad-hoc duties as required by the Director of Nursing

* Candidates must have full work permits.
* Have a minimum of 2 years Activities Coordinator experience in a similar setting
