Assistant Director Of Nursing
Job Description
On behalf of our client, we are looking to recruit an Assistant Director of Nursing. This is a great opportunity for an experienced nurse manager to work alongside the DON, in a warm, friendly, well-established, private nursing home in North Dublin.
Key Responsibilities:
* Collaborate with the Director of Nursing to oversee daily operations.
* Provide leadership and support to nursing staff.
* Ensure regulatory compliance and implement best practices in patient care.
* Contribute to policy development and implementation.
* Assist in nursing staff recruitment, training, and evaluation.
* Participate in quality improvement initiatives for enhanced patient care.
* Effectively communicate and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams.
Required:
* Must be registered in the General Division of Nurses with the NMBI
* Have nurse management experience in the elder care setting
* Management Course
* Experience in risk management and clinical audit
* Strong exposure to HIQA
* Provide a supportive & hands-on approach to staff
* Must have excellent interpersonal & organisational skills
* Responsible for the smooth running of the Home
* Demonstrate a proactive approach
* Sound decision-making ability and results-driven.
