Our client a GP Practice in the Kildare Area wishes to recruit a Practice Nurse.
Ideal candidate is someone who is or has worked as a GP Practice Nurse or alternatively a hospital nurse, you will be working alongside/opposite another Practice Nurse.

Duties:

* Administrative:
Stock control, Childhood vaccines, travel vaccines, flu vaccine, pneumococcal vaccine, HPV vaccine. Sterilization of instruments, Maintenance of Emergency Equipment, Practice Protocols, Stock control and ordering of Primary Childhood Vaccines.
* Paediatrics:
Immunisations and associated administrative functions, Triage, Centile Charts (Height/Weight), Asthma Data Collection.
* Obstetrics:
Pregnancy Testing, Breast Feeding advice.
* Adult Screening:
Phlebotomy, Urinalysis, E.C.G., 24 Hour ABPM, Lifestyle Advice, S.T.I. Screening, Geriatric Screening, Smear Tests and associated administrative functions.
* General Vaccination:
Primary Childhood Immunisation Programme, Flu Vaccination, Pneumococcal vaccination, HPV vaccination and associated administrative functions.
* Heartwatch:
Ongoing surveillance of patients with known heart disease as per the Heartwatch Programme protocols. Heartwatch returns for payment.
* Patient Education:
Women's/Men's Health, Asthma, Menopause, Travel Advice, Management of Childhood illness, Smoking Cessation, infant & toddler feeding advice, diabetes, Heart Disease prevention.

Excellent communication skills in person & over the phone needed, very good IT skills

Hourly rate is very negotiable
