Junior Software Developer

Job Description

Candidate description:

- The company is seeking a highly skilled and motivated .NET Software Developer to join our team.
- The ideal candidate will have a passion for software development and will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining software applications using .NET technologies.
- The role holder will be required to learn, develop and support our existing solution across Salesforce, Azure, .NET and the IBM ISeries Platforms.

About the role:

- Maintain existing software systems by identifying and correcting software defects
- Test and debug software applications to ensure they meet functional requirements
- Support the development teams in maintaining existing applications
- Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in the ecosystem and continuously improve the development process
- Liaise with the Team Lead to ensure all developed solutions are delivered effectively
- Work with the team to develop new applications and projects
- Display excellent problem solving and strong communication skills
- Follow the agile methodology and understand the principles of Scrum
- Comply with risk control and regulatory requirements that are relevant to this role
- Maintain commercial awareness relevant to this role

Skills & requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field required
- A minimum of 1 years experience in .NET software development desired
- Strong problem-solving, analyitical and communication skills
- A willingness to learn new technologies and a passion for software development
- Strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles
- Understanding of modern software development tools and Software Configuration Management (SCM).
- Awareness of Software Test methodologies and testing tools.
- Experience with C#, ASPABCDEF08, and SQL Server
- General Project Management ability desired
- Good knowledge of SQL
- Exposure to Soap/Rest Services desired
