Mechanical and Electrical Plant Engineer

Our client is a busy manufacturing facility involved in the weaving of technical textiles. They are seeking a Mechanical and Electrical Plant Engineer to join their team. In this role, you will oversee all engineering and electrical aspects of the facility's operations, including new machine installations and upgrades. Hands-on engineering and electrical skills are essential.

The ideal candidate will possess a background in mechanical and electrical engineering, They seek a self-starter who can take initiative and lead a team while remaining open-minded and willing to learn new skills and engage with new machinery.

Key responsibilities of this role will include:

Managing all aspects of the facility's engineering and electrical operations, including new machine installations and upgrades.
Conducting electrical diagnostics and troubleshooting to identify and resolve issues quickly and effectively.
Facility management.
Remaining up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies, and continuously improving the operations through innovation and best practices.
Required

Bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering or related field
Strong leadership
Hands-on experience with electrical systems and machinery.
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with strong attention to detail.
Product knowledge of weaving operations and auxiliary equipment is advantageous but not essential, training is provided.
Knowledge of Dornier and Staubli weaving machines is advantageous but not essential. Machine-specific training can be provided.
