Ophthalmic Technician

Job Description

Our client, a leading Eye Surgery Clinic in South Dublin is currently looking to recruit an Ophthalmic Technician for a 2 year contract with possibility to become permanent. Salary is negotiable, will depend on experience and qualifications. This is a full time position 37.5 hours per week, with 22 days annual leave entitlement.

Requirements:

- Bachelor's of Science Degree

- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

- Excellent attention to the detail

- Strong Customer Service skills

- Interest in Clinical Research and experience in Ophthalmology



What will you do:

-Working as part of the Nursing/ Technician team to perform ophthalmic diagnostic testing on patients as part of clinical work ups for consultations at the Clinic.

-Management of patients on the day of surgery (consent discussion, counselling on postoperative instructions)

-Assist with collection and preparation of audit data and data for clinical research
