Our client, a well-established nursing home near the Dublin/Meath border is looking for a Sous Chef to join their team! The successful candidate will work back-to-back with the current Sous Chef. The hours are 8-5, 3 days one week, and 8-5, 4 days the next.
As a Sous Chef in our client's nursing home, you'll be a key player in ensuring that the resident's nutritional needs are met with delicious and wholesome meals. Your culinary expertise and passion for cooking will make a significant impact on the lives of the residents.
Role and Responsibilities:
* Collaborate with the Head Chef to plan and prepare nutritionally balanced menus tailored to the residents' dietary requirements and preferences.
* Supervise and lead the kitchen team to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
* Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and taste, while adhering to food safety and hygiene regulations.
* Innovate and introduce new dishes to keep the menu diverse and exciting.
* Embrace feedback from residents and adapt recipes to cater to individual needs.
